I thought here was an opportunity for me to get on with the rest of my
life
but people kept coming over saying
"are you allright?"
"are you allright?"

it would be in a bar
and these were people I hardly knew
wetting my shoulders

I tried to explore what 'emotion' is
so I could grieve like them

it's another of those words which doesn't come up with any
picture

I went through a phase of not going anywhere
and people stopped asking me
in the end
night after night
I looked in a mirror
saw I could have cried
