X) The Fools On The Hill

The Fools On The Hill ~ 29 December 2001

A Festive Event.

I watch from the safe, warm comfort of my home as the pre-pubescent,
adolescent fools on the hill wait excitedly to surprise some poor
unsuspecting car slug it's way through the freshly fallen snow to be
snow balled.
It's an event that brings all the young male population on the estate
together for a mischevious time. They prepare for action by gathering
mountains of the fluffy mush into their already wet, cold hands, squish
into a tiny hard ball, then fire.
No doubt my idot brother is amongst the gang partaking in the
palaver.
In the near distance, far enough from firing range, i hear the
shuffling of squidgy feet scurrying, deep rumbling, tense voices and
then a stand still. Like marshmallow missles they fly through the air
crashing onto the victims car windscreen. An immediate, fierce honk of
the horn pamps in rage reminding the rebellious gang of their
wrongdoings. Naughty laughter fills the wintery air as they return to
their base to prepare for another attack.
All in all it's only innocent, just festive fun. It's all part of the
Christmas spirit.
