Looking from a hotel room
The fireworks shoot higher
The stars are out, they seem so close
Orion's catching fire
Out on the streets it's nearly twelve
But it's as bright as day
The danger's there but no one cares
No one would stand in the way

To welcome the Year of the Dragon
The streets breathe fire now the Dragon is near
We enter the Year of the Dragon
No words of death: Spring Festival is here

Don't think to home where it is four
And just another day
The mutual sense of happiness
Makes trouble stay away
All round at midnight, fireworks
Are everywhere you see
Enjoy yourself, not forced tradition's
How it's best with me
