From sea to shining sea
People are crying because of the sight they see
A plane hit a tower
Then a second hit the other
Another plane hit the Pentagon
And another crashed in Pennsylvania
Smoke bellowing and debris falling
People running down the streets, screaming
Others watched horror stricken
Why is this happening?
We did nothing wrong!
People crying for loved ones they can't find
The whole country crying and wondering why
Why did our country have to suffer this September day?
They tried to tear us apart
But it didn't work
Instead it brought us together
Before we were just a country
Now we are a country together as one!
