No one else has touched my heart
The way you did from the start
I thought the world of you
With all those little things you do
And although I really did try
To completely deny
Any feelings for you
That barrier I built, you saw right through
And with your continual persistance
Crumbled my wall of resistance.
Now this is my chance to prove to you
How much I really did love you, too
I thought if I wrote one love poem
At least it would have shown
And although I did my best
With vigour and zest
To suppress my desire
All these poems, you did inspire
Without you, I could not have written
If I was not really smitten
With my Cafe Man.
