Day

I knew the day was breaking before I opened my eyes. The sensation of heat and light invading the cool of the night so slowly as if not to disturb the peace of the space.
I stayed there, with my eyes closed, savouring the transformation.
Outside the beach hut, I could hear the sea so loud yet so peaceful getting ready to greet the light.
As I walked outside, the sand under my feet felt deliciously cold. I could just catch the last of the darkness walking away, taking with it the remaining last stars. A blue dawn floated in the air like crushed velvet, soft and delicate.
There was no visible horizon, only sea and sky blended into one blue infinite.
The sun appeared out of nowhere warmly colouring the world.I had no sense of time, just the moment existed and I let myself be part of the spectacle. I became the droplets of sweat in the warming sun, running down my body - my private waterfall.
The everyday magic started it's work and I was it.
