Hungry Years

So what if my life's in tatters?
I think I'll wear it like couture -
it's not where I am that matters,
but where I'll be in the future.

So right now there's nothing going -
well, I won't miss it when it's gone.
Soon the seeds that I've been sowing
will bear the fruit that I'll live on.
