Her Prayer

She could only see partly, only a few colours of the rainbow were
captured. Yet, only her imagination would take her to other worlds
beyond her sight. In one world she could only see hatred and despair,
where they held every indulgence in scorn. She would swiftly break
through that world having seen enough and yearn to see something that
would lift her heart completely.
She told her imagination, her mind, not to take her being to worlds
where a piece of her heart would be left behind and where her thoughts
would wander and recline..They obeyed, although leaving behind a
residue of their presence.
She could still, only see partly. She had realised that now she had
seen many enchanting creations yet, none that had the magic to open up
her soul and reform her sight. She took solitude steps that left her
weak, and lost all faith in the world that she lived. Not a day went
pass without some kind of prayer. A prayer for a small wonder, the
splash of laughter that would ultimately engulf her. Yet, even though
she searched in all corners, endured all that life proposed, she knew
that there was only one thing missing. It was not her lack of sight,
her absent and dazed or her reclining thoughts. It was, as her
existence told her, love.
She knew that is was only when she would find complete love that the
smoke would be erased from her eyes and enable her to see as she always
wished, all the colours of the rainbow.
