As The Bell Rings

Scene One: Introduction of Characters

Danielle: Today Rocky and Bella were assigned to do a race.

(Rocky runs in) Rocky: I wish I did not have Bella as my partner. She couldn’t care less about sports and whines about every little bruise. (Rocky exits)

(Bella enters with a sad look)
Bella: What’s the point of the race? I wish I did not have to do it!
It stinks! Why couldn’t I be chosen for another like, like oh?
I don’t know.

Danielle: I think you need a confidence adjustment.

(Bella sighs) Bella: Can we play that tag game? That you usually see on T.V?

Danielle: Oh yeah- I know that, I’ll start. (Coughs) Who’s good?

Bella: I am!

Danielle: Who rules!

Bella: I do!

Danielle: What’s your name?

Bella: Bella!

Danielle: Do you feel better?

Bella: Yeah! Now I’ll go and steal someone’s fashion clothes.

Danielle: Steal!?

Bella: I was joking you know when someone makes a joke, wasn’t
It funny?

Danielle: No (Bella exits smiling)

(CC enters crawling up on Danielle)

CC: BOO!

Danielle: CC!

CC: Yeah!

Danielle: Stop playing those jokes on me!

CC: Fine.

Danielle: Don’t tell me fine, it’s annoying. One day I will get you.
(Points at CC)

CC: I don’t care. Because I will always be one step ahead of you. (Points back at Danielle)

Danielle: Oh really! I wished I believed you! Anyway check this Bella and Rocky partners in a race.

CC: I know! I mean Bella doesn’t even care about sports. I feel sorry for Rocky.2 trophy’s in a row and now what will she do! Imagine if we tricked them.

(Danielle starts thinking and takes a while to answer CC’s question)

Scene Two: The trick on CC

CC: Danielle!

Daniel: Yeah!

CC: Did you just hear what I said!

Danielle: Of course couldn’t miss it for the world!

(CC is about to exit but Daniel speaks)

Danielle: Oh! CC! Bella’s holding a competition for Mr. Maxwell the science teacher-

CC: I love science, especially Space.

Danielle: Yeah, Yeah. It’s to do with Space! You win a massive Space Globe plus a trip to Space Camp!

CC: That is so cool!

Danielle: And I’ll tell her you are joining.

CC: Sure!

(CC exits and Bella enters)

Danielle: CC said she loves sports! And wouldn’t mind replacing you with her as Rocky’s Partner.

Bella: Oh! That is awesome, just awesome!

Danielle: So CC’s Rocky’s partner.

(Rocky enters, hearing half of Danielle’s sentence.)

Rocky: Who’s my partner?

Danielle :( with Bella) CC!
Bella :( with Danielle) CC!

Bella: So I’m officially not your partner.

Rocky: Oh Good!-I mean oh my gosh! I hope CC can be as good as you. (Patting Bella on the shoulder)

Bella: Anyway it’s not my problem anymore! Bye (Bella exits)

Rocky: CC’s got skinny legs; I guess she can be my partner. Anyway Bye!

Danielle: Oh and Rocky! Make her run! And go get em!

Rocky: I will. (Exits)

(Danielle exits) (Count to two to start the new Scene)

Scene 3: Problem solved

(Bella and CC bump into each other)

CC: Yes I’ll do it!

Bella: Okay!

(Bella exits. CC nearly exits but stops because she’s excited)

CC: Danielle!

(Danielle enters)

Danielle: Yes!

CC: I can’t wait; I hope I get to go to Space Camp!

Danielle: Don’t worry you will!

(Bella and Rocky enter)

Bella: (Looks at CC) I just want to say thank you so much for doing this!

CC: Oh it’s no big deal; I’m only entering the Science Competition.

Bella: CC, this is not the time to be playing jokes!

Rocky: You’re my partner for the school race!

CC: You mean the after school race!

Rocky: Yeah!

CC: Danielle!

Danielle: Seems you are in a situation. Not my problem. What’s wrong Miss One Step Ahead of Me.?

Rocky: You guys the race is beginning-

Bella: So CC when you bumped into me you thought I was a helper for Mr. Maxwell. For the Science Competition?

CC: Yes! But you thought I was the replacer to be Rocky’s partner.

Bella: Yes!

Rocky: Hello, Race in 6 minutes. Oh and its also 6 miles!

CC: Danielle! (With dark anger)
Rocky: Danielle! (With frustration)
Bella: Danielle! (With annoyance)

CC: Look what I have to do?

Danielle: Run a race.

CC: Yeah, but for 6 miles!

(Bella, Rocky and CC have a fight but with your own words.)

Danielle: Whoa- whoa. Everybody stop! Didn’t you get what you wanted? (Points at Bella) You didn’t want to do the Sport so I replaced you with someone else. Oh and you Rocky wanted a new partner so now you have one! CC, CC, CC, you got what you deserved. See I told you, to stop playing those games on me, but you wouldn’t listen. (Laughing)

Bella: Danielle’s right! (Arms on hips)

Rocky: Yeah! (Shouts)

CC: I guess so. (Despondently)

(Danielle checks her watch)

Danielle: School is over. (With excitement)

Bella: Do you wanna go shopping?

Danielle: Sure!

(Danielle and Bella exit chatting and laughing)

Rocky: Yes, the race has started! Let’s go!

(Linking arms with CC)

CC: Oh Boy!
