And so it began on a steamy summer night... exactly three days and three nights since the full Thunder Moon had cast her magical moonshadows onto the forest floor. A concert of crickets, frogs and cicadas serenade the woods and all that listen. The stream is full and flowing quite strong along the winding path it follows... constant giggles over the stones... curving down along a forgotten caves wall. It was soon to storm... the smell of ozone was thick along with the scent of musty earth and velvet greens. Thunder rumbles somewhere to the west... moving closer and closer as the sky turns darker. Again thunder claps and rolls with the promise of a storm... the promise of one of Mother Natures mysteries. Against the dark blue velvet of the starry heavens above an angry-looking Thunderhead slowly pushes onwards towards the now pulsing moon...
LIGHTNING! FLASH!
In the dark woods the summer woodland concerto shushes at once... in awe and wonder of the electricity now charging the air. Slowly and only after a few moments of silence does a brave tree frog chirp slightly off key... then pauses... then a little louder, a little bolder. All creatures chime back in one by one in the same manner. The fireflies are dancing with the faeries in the mist that hangs in the tree branches above. From under a crooked willow tree comes Fox from his Den... and he saunters down to the waters edge and lowers his head... eyes closed. In his teeth a rather large crystal shard shines in a flash of lightening from above. In the blink of an eye he tosses it and it is flung into the stream before him. Great horned Owl silently watches from the branches of an old Oak tree that stands alone in a clearing close-by. He calls out his sorrow... for he knows now it has begun...
