Somewhere between Darjeeling and Calcutta is a place called Sevoke Bridge.It is certainly what it purports to be-a mere bridge.It is early winter now and a Scorpio is making its way over the bridge.The Scorpio is actually a grand-looking SUV.This particular car has five people sitting in it.As the Scorpio is about to descend into the freeway the driver spots a girl.The girl is wearing expensive clothes and is trying to secure a ride on the car.Half out of pity and half out of a very ancient instinct the driver stops the car.The girl explains that she lives in Darjeeling and is trying to get some medicines for her ailing father from nearby Tenzing Stand.The passengers who have all paid the driver individually for the ride are happy to accomodate a very pretty girl.The girl tries to make small talk.Suddenly she produces a revolver and asks her co-passengers to hand over their belongings.The passengers,who are all men,offer little resistance.One of them stays with her after he introduces himself as her husband.After the others are offloaded at Tenzing Stand the girl tells the lanky boy,"You drive!".It is apparent that the girl doesn't know how to steer an automobile.As the vehicle speeds off towards Calcutta the two passengers introduce themselves to each other.The boy is called Bunty and the pretty girl is Bubbles.Both have set out from Darjeeling with the aim of becoming filmstars in distant Bombay.
In two days time the young couple arrive in Calcutta.They start their business right away.They wear great looking clothes and land up at Calcutta airport.When they spot a rustic-looking man who is completely at sea in the hustle-bustle of the aerodrome they approach him right away.They tell him that the airport is for sale and so are the aeroplanes.The place is available to the man making the first bid and that he is the chosen one.As the man is relieved of a substantial amount of money Bunty and Bubbles make a quick getaway.Their story is all over the papers and news channels the next day.The twosome hatch a grand plan.They convince a gullible man to carry a placard all around Calcutta railway station which states that Calcutta city will be given away to any man who can find a pink dog.Of course the entry fee for the competition is a hundred pounds.Bunty and Bubbles make quite a killing because there is naturally no pink dog in Calcutta and the city is certainly not for sale.The police are now embarrassed no end.They decide that Bunty and Bubbles must be caught immediately.
The young duo has now become rather confident of their abilities.They had initially thought of chartering a plane to Bombay.But they decide to do things in their inimitable style.They bribe the airport people to get on a passenger plane to Bombay.As the plane is about to start they tell the passengers that the plane will be searched for a bomb.The passengers leave in a hurry.They go to the cockpit to tell the pilot that the airplane has been hijacked by them.But luck runs out for the innovative duo.The police is waiting for them in the cockpit and they are immediately handcuffed.As Bunty and Bubbles are taken to the headquarters they tell everyone that they had done it all just for fun.
