Unexpected timing
Standing motionless
The flying birds hang still in the winter air
The crashing car halted
Sound severed and shattered into pieces
Seeing you between the wooden gates
Neon light was reflected on your warm skin
Blended with the cold breeze teasing your blue uniforms
I fell into your hands
Words drowned into a locked box called shy
Chemicals in the synapses emptied into my beating heart
A smile seemed an impossible task
Your smile was overpowering
Getting up as your eyes inventively studied me.
That feeling of complete loss lingered
Failing to concentrate on what you were saying
Failing in restraining my thoughts.
Gentle words were exchanged
Memory loss was at work
A connection was broken
But was it all in my head?
