Greetings Provensen Clan!,
I'm writing you from ______ in Southern Thailand where I've been teaching at the university for about a month now. It's been a curious experience. I've met many interesting people ranging from kind and semi-learned professors to my student Bo, a model and a nice girl, to ___, a local thug but a salt-of-the-earth fellow in many ways.
Anyway, I hope things are well at the ashram. My last letter didn't go through due to a computer problem; the letter offering you a download. I was very impressed by how bright and sweet the twins are; I'll bet they have a great childhood ahead of them. Also say hi to my old friend Marissa for me. Well, I hope the Audis are selling faster than you can replace them and that Jeananne is finding a little time for her art; talent cries out to be used.
My son, Bohden, is still in good health. I don't know much more about him though I've seen pictures and he's definitely my son, not that I really had any doubt to start with. I would describe the area I live in as a cheerful ghetto. You can get good seafood meals and fruit for unbelievable prices but there's a slight stench everywhere. I've been reading some books on Buddhism and I would say the thing I've learned is that there are certain processes and patterns that are life and that most of my consciousness of self is a sickness. However, I don't subscribe to the idea that "I" is actually an illusion, and I'm agnostic about whether this plane of existence can be transcended. The major religions, like science, have been part of the established order that's infected the world with the disease with which it currently struggles.
Jeannie, please give my love to your parents and Rich, say hello to that "Dionysus" Christian for me.
good vibrations,
Blue Falang
