She's a small strong tree
she is 6 o'clock on a
Friday
she is a strong cup of
coffee
she is a coastal town in
Spain
she's a riot
she's a road
block
she's a book I haven't
read
and my girl is beautiful in
bed.
When I'm unfocused
when I'm
hungry
when I don't know where to
go
she is alcohol
she is
drugs
she's a light left on at
home
she is a painting
she's a
floor show
and my girl knows all there is to
know.
Growing older
growing
tired
need to find a new
career
but there's no doubt
in
her eyes
there's no substance to my
fear.
She's a pillow
she's a
blanket
she is there to let me
be
and my girl is all I'll ever need.
