"Marina" Happy 30th Birthday

When everything is wrong
and nothing goes right!
Go for a walk along
the sea-front
and blow all your cares
away!

Here comes someone with a big
fishing rod passing by,

But sun-glasses and black
sunshades over tables
cover up their
lovely eyes!

A young lady sitting by
in a red dress
with a beautiful white
plumed feather in her
long black hair

did I have the nerve !
to lend her my white
parasol to keep sun of my eyes
and lend it to her?
someone I never met
for her a birthday
surprise photo

more and more people and friend's
had gathered mainly in
red, and berets
was she a bride?
No 30th Birthday!
At La Fourchette Restaurant

was I brave! enough to say Abctales
I have just sat jotting few lines
and put her in
as she told me her name!
was Marina Oh!
ok I'll use it then.
She said she loved lines
so excited.

My heart! going fast and gasping
for breath
I squeezed by the chairs
the photographer already there.

so I mentioned I do bit poetry
and put her in few lines
She only looked 20
the sun shining on her
lovely tanned skin.

A man with a tan
and wearing a straw trilby hat,
and black sun-glasses as well.

I had to borrow waiter's pen and
write on envelope used! at start

I asked for sugar please!
I thought would be in small packets
Huge glass bowl like a Gold fish
bowl with heavy clips each side
to prise it open!

then I finished my "Latte" coffee
and on the serviette I now see!
is "LA FOURCHETTE" not LA FORCHETTE
I think waiter said means =Fork
amazed all went so well!

"Marina" said yes!
and gave her name to me
Off I went into the sunrise
content and so pleased!
and as promised to put on Abc -( tales)

How strange I never knew this or met lovely lady before.
Now works out similiar name my friend d. sudd; Aug 30th not knowing! we were with 4 of us then.
and her name was? "Maria"

I just met a girl named Maria
how wonderful the sound can be
say it loud and it's almost like saying
saying soft and it's almost like praying
"Maria" Maria"
I'll never stop saying "Maria"
