“Later, Aqua~” were the words of her beloved as she left the Hall, Aqua was excited.
“(What’s lil sis hiding from me?~ I wonder, is Azu finally going to give me a chance? She got me a present? Great Fitai give me strength!)” visibly happy the rather uncomfortable guards were a little concerned, but they were also happy for her, even if they didn’t know what was going through her mind, they knew it’s was about Azur and that maybe it was better not to ask.
She walked the main street until she was on the path to the beach, there was when she meets with the Brothers Brey and Mavlov who call for her.
“Yo, Aqua, got a minute?” Mavlov was the first one to talk.
“Yea, I was on my way to the school, what is it?” visibly happy she replied.
“Oh, great, Ephi told us that she wanted to talk to you” Brey continued “And said it was urgent, not really know what for though”
“My-my~, better speed up then” she left without saying goodbye to the brothers.
“... you don’t think...” a concerned Brey tried to talk.
“Yep, we’re late” Mavlov responded “But this time it doesn’t seem to be a bad outcome...”
“Maybe we’ll be able to convince her after all” Brey raised his hopes.
“Let’s not take it for granted, just in case...” worried, Mavlov told Brey.
“What you’d say if we split up?”
“Hell nah, unless you are the one going to convince Azur” sarcastically, Mavlov joked.
“That’s the idea”
“Wait? Really?!” Mavlov was genuinely surprised.
“I want to believe that Aqua changed her mood for good, it's rare to see her THAT happy” Brey explained to his brother.
“Your funeral little brother”
“Very funny”
“Then I'll go to where Rek’s and the butcher’s, good luck”
“I think we already used our luck today, but you watch me come back victorious”
“An Eel to the winner!” exclaimed Mavlov fully knowing that those were Breys favorites.
“Deal” Brey accepted the bet and they went the same way until Brey reached the Hall and Mavlov continued onwards to the Butcher’s place.
“*gulp* why I don’t feel so good all of the sudden?”
“Looks like I'm gonna win!” the guards looked at them in gossip.
“(Ha, hell no!)” all doubt disappeared from Brey’s mind and stepped into the hall.
“(So, he did go in, hope all goes well lil bro)” prayed for his brother’s wellbeing. “Now to the butcher’s”
Reaching the butcher's place, Mavlov recognized Rekzot near it.
”Oh, yo Rek, what's good?!” the older brother saluted the General.
“Hey you, language, at least in public, do you mind?” Rekzot scolded Mavlov.
“It's fine, cuz’ right now I'm here for the goods!”
“What you talking about?”
“Don’t play dumb with me, Ephi told me about the Dragolisk” whispered to the General.
“Damn girl, always getting me to deal with the trouble”
“And you bet she is the one who is going to get the most out of everyone involved”
“I’m not quite on the mood right now, get in, Tumul went in after meeting with Azur, the butcher will know what you here for”
“Well that was easy”
“It’s going to be delivered to their house, just to confirm directly this is of course”
“Yep, like all the other times... man she is incredible”
“I know, in only what? three-four years, she built proper roads, managed to calm down your brother and Aqua, the school has way more young magicians that is almost impossible to think that only that little time has passed...”
“Yep and she is unreachable”
“Now that's something I'm using to blackmail you in the future”
“Give me a break, if you were younger or not engaged, you’ll probably be another one of hers”
“Like most males when she became the official leader, but she still has a long way to go... and she can even face me in combat” the general sounded rather annoyed ”I don’t even want to know how is she going to be when she becomes of Aqua’s ages" They gossiped about their amazing leader through the corridor. The butcher was deaf, not need to worry too much about him.
“A strong leader can take us anywhere, that’s what I want to believe” struggled to say as he signed papers for the butcher about the delivery.
“Hope you’re right... and I think you are...” he looked into the sky “I want you to be right...”
“Rek?”
“I was just thinking about my daughters”
“Fair enough, same here for Brey”
“Yea, that little rascal, where is he now?”
“For you to beat him up, like hell I'd tell ya, but he is not with Xagaxa if you wondering about that”
“Good, haha, good, now shoo, this is going to be one hell of a night” the giant green Kryg smiled to the sky.
“Cheers to that Rek, take care out there”
“Haha, same for you”
They farewell each other, Rekzot stayed at the Butcher’s while Mavlov went back to the Hall.
“Mav!” he heard a familiar voice.
“Oh, Brey, that wrapped up faster than expected, any luck?”
“You owe me an Eel! Haha!”
“Now those are news!”
“I assume everything went well your side”
“Of course, today brother, we dine in Hell, Haha!”
“Haha!” they both laughed a while before exchanging how it all went down while on their way to the Chieftess’ house.
Mavlov Brey’s Older Brother, fifty-four, 2.2m (7.2f) tall, he got that “title” from the time that Brey was a troublemaker, making him responsible almost for everything he did and he never got him to slow down even a little, it was only because of Azur and Ephiri that Brey changed, even if it almost costed him his life, and he is forever grateful to them. While he isn’t a prodigy at anything in particular, he is a skilled warrior and together with Brey they are a deadly team. Three giant scars in his deep blue chest that go from his upper left shoulder to his right hip, these were made by one of the biggest Dragolisk to date when he and Brey had an (Staged) race, the Dragolisk was in fact unexpected. Having survived that, Brey and Mavlov took on a new leaf on life and decided to become fishers and foragers, though Brey ended up being more of a soldier somewhere along the way.
The Krygnym are born from eggs that need around 8 months to hatch, for the first half the eggs are lay by the mother and have a hard shell, once the embryo is strong enough to take the light form the sun, the shell will crack, leaving a very soft but quite strong membrane surrounding the embryo, on this second half, the egg needs sunlight to keep nourishing the embryo inside of it, once it has gotten enough nutrients, the hatchling will rip the membrane egg from the inside and finally be born.
