GOODNIGHT

"GOODNIGHT" Lots of children, tired children, all over the world, Are
settling down into their beds, their little toes are curled. The sun
has had a long day too, he's given a big yawn, So now the moon has
taken over watching until dawn. As the sun went down and disappeared
behind a hill, A little deer said "That's a good idea - I think I will"
The little birds have settled into a tree of their choosing. Warm and
cosy for the night, most of them now snoozing, The horses in the
fields, are not swishing their long tails, They're sleeping now,and
dreaming about chomping on hay bales, The garden snails and ladybirds
have drifted off to sleep, Nothing will disturb them now, you cannot
hear one peep. Some seagulls on the fishing boats which sit inside the
bay, Are sleeping now, because the waves have sent them on their way,
So soothing are the sounds of waves, the water gently lapping, The
ocean world has closed it's eyes and everything is napping, Some fish
have found a nice place somewhere on the ocean bed, A blue whale has
stopped too, so she can rest her sleepy head, Not a single sound is
coming from inside the deep blue sea, Just one person can be heard -
and that person's me... Close your eyes now, let yourself just softly
drift away..... Like grey clouds do politely on a hot and sunny
day..... Gently drift away just like the clouds drift out of sight...
Off into a sweet and peaceful dream you go......... Goodnight.....
