Dear Mother
-a yearning son
As an infant, your lap, a cradle,
Turning and twisting, I loved to cuddle.
As a kid, your loving kisses,
Seemed to me as God's blesses.
As an adolescent, your soothing hugs,
Relieved my pain without drugs.
As a busy adult, Alas! I behold...
A minute on your lap, a moment of gold!
