I was ready, I was primed, months of preparation had readied me for
survival in the wilderness
Unpaid bills
Unwashed hair
Unwashed body
Unstable mind
Unkempt house
Un job worthy
Unsociable
Unspeakable
Under controlled
Undeveloped
Unremarkable
Unfulfilled
Understated
Under thumbed
Undervalued
Under siege
Undersized
Unrelenting
Unforgiving
Unnoticed
Unwanted
Under new management
And one day you told me you were leaving, just like that, as if it were
just a whim, but I was ready because I'd trained just for this event,
you see you were always doing things like that, things on impulse, out
of the blue, but I knew this whim was coming that's why I'd prepared to
live and survive in the wilderness.
And for the record, my behaviour had nothing to do with you
leaving.
