Darkness, Hope and Despair

Where there was hope,
Light fades.
Where there was light,
There was hope.
Darkness and Oblivion beckons,
calling to happiness and hope,
to crush and destroy,
all things holy.
But yet there is light,
Somewhere.
In the vast darkness of despair.
A white dove,
among the foulest of dogs.
A beacon of hope,
in the gloom.
The army of Oblivion attacks.
The legion of Darkness charges.
But yet there is light,
A white dove.
A beacon of hope.
To shield us from utter despair.
