And I have travelled for days

What dost thou hide?
The answer which I craves.
What far lost kingdoms
'Neath the emerald waves?
I seek'st them out -
Thy forbidding caves
With richest hidden treasures
Below the dark, thund'rus waves.
I call out thy name
And have travelled for days
I seek your veiled fortunes
Sunken 'neath the glowing waves.
What mysterious craftsmen
Work at their planes and lathes
At that which I know not of?
Surrounded by thy murky waves.
And so to thee I say
Wilt thou tell me please
What furtive romances created?
Stories that thy splendour weaves.
Thou art so powerful
Mighty and strong
And so I beg thee -
Forgive me if I am wrong -
But I love thee now
With my soul and all
Twenty leagues inland
I feel thy call
Pulling my bones
From whence they came
I have returned to thee
Come - claim me again.
