LUCKY DIP
Wrinkle, crinkle, crumble, die
Jesus, Allah, Buddha, why?
Why did I take on this form
Which has become so badly worn
Wrinkle, crinkle, crumble, die
Should I laugh or maybe cry
Where was I before my birth
Whither go when I leave earth.
Wrinkle, crinkle, crumble, die
Then hell below or heaven on high?
Or will I stay in this same mess
And just expand my consciousness
Wrinkle, crinkle, crumble, die
Into emptiness I fly
I may look for God in vain -
I might meet myself again
Wrinkle, crinkle, crumble, die
Were preached promises a lie
Propagated through a fear
That mystery is never clear
Wrinkle, crinkle, crumble, die
With a giggle or a sigh
Who can say how it will be
For a control freak such as me.
