Angels Of The Deep.

Beneath the lonely lunar lighting
Of the moon and stars above
I wondered if all hope had gone
Since you have found new love
From the quiet deck I pondered
Out upon the sullen sea
What shore could fate desert me to
Like you discarded me.

Twas then I saw the waters break
From beneath the becalm-ed blue
Seven dancing darting dolphins
Came up leaping into view
Breaching waves in unison,flying high
Then down descending low
Like cosmic cats a-chasing mice
Hither,thither, there they`d go.

Those twirling,birling,bottlenosed
Angels of the deep
Only served to remind me
Of your love I couldn`t keep
But suddenly I realised
Gods own messengers swimming free
Had simply come to tell me
There are more fish in the sea.
