I dance under her soft hair
It sparkles and shines
I sing into the night’s air
And tell her that she’s mine
She throws back her head and laughs
I am no one’s she declares
The moon speaks on her behalf,
Can you see how her kingdom flares?
She is a queen but she does not rule
But yet they kindly obey
She is naive but not a fool
Because she’ll be present here everyday
Though at times not for hours on end
However when her day guests leave
The warnings of her presence she’ll send
And she will be known as the day’s eve.
