Imagine a perfect world
A place where we never grow old
And winter nights are never cold
Imagine the rain falling
And the rays of the sun shining
Imagine a world without starvation
A place where the aim
Was not African extinction
Imagine a world with total happiness
No threat of war and no duress
A world where peace and solitude reign
And not Saddam Hussein (you can laugh)
And the only crying was that of laughter.
I imagine all this
Then sitting here and wonder
If this were possible
Then you and I would not be together
We would exist but wouldn't share character
Then I think again
Which would I prefer?
A perfect world without you
Or an imperfect would we could try and rescue
