As sleep again I cannot find,
I think of you with soul and mind.
Though time with you is ever past,
My love for you will ever last.

Your eyes so deep, your skin so fair,
The softest touch of long red hair.
Your smile so bright, with lips so true,
If only I could be with you.

I think of you both night and day,
And love you more in every way.
I long to hold you once again,
To heal my heart, and stop the pain.

But this my love will never be,
You are forever gone from me,
So to the devil I cast my lot,
And pray the dawn will find me not.
