I lie asleep, dreaming of you,

Wonder: are you dreaming of me too?

I dream that you say: "come and sit here."

Wake and wish that you were somehow near.

I dream that you whisper softly in my ear,

But when reality hits me,I shed many a tear.

I dream that you look lovingly into my eyes,

Wake and remember it's me you despise.

I lie and dream that one day we'll be

Together forever you and me.
