Have you ever lost anyone&;#063;

We spent five years together,
And I expected more,
To teach my son I story,
He had never heard before,
To kick a ball around him,
To throw him in the air,
To wrestle him so softly,
And tousle his young hair,
To tell him all Gods secrets,
And describe all right and wrong,
To help him feel so wanted,
That he knew where he belonged,
But on that day he left me,
And flew his very last time,
And slept with eyes wide open,
On ascending climb,
So if I saw you now son,
Now we share land,
Would you hug your daddy,
Would you hold my hand?
