Unwieldy

A former Catholic priest was known during his tenure for his
generosity and insincerity. After more than ten years working in a
parish he left the priesthood unsatisfied and decided to marry a woman
and raise a family. The children were raised and then left the house
but he still felt unsatisfied. His wife comforted him during this
difficult period but began to grow suspicious of his restlessness.
Then, owing impetus to a few plots of land he'd inherited, he
discovered in himself a knack for real estate and made a significant
amount of money through land speculation. He became very excited about
the sums of money he controlled and attempted where possible to let his
friends know that he was doing very well for himself and that he was
just fine and that his wife was doing well too. We overheard him
talking on the phone yesterday and he said to the person on the other
end of the line that his money had become unwieldy.
