Faerie wings

This is just a note to say

that I'm
trying to write

a poem for you.

But
it's not working for some reason.

Your faerie wings
are blocking my view

of the yellow
post-it.

Sparkling wisps of something
special.

Maybe if you dyed

your
hair pink, it would take my focus

off the
wings.

Given that they're
see-through.

But it might not work, so
instead

I'll just sit and stare at your faerie wings,

thinking about the poem I could have
written
