Lonely and cold in the world of today,
No one to talk to, nothing to say,
Watching the day dwindle into night,
No one to laugh with, nothing to fight.
Each day drawing to a miserable sleep,
No one to care for, nothing to keep.
The sun which prods everyone to try,
Only provokes the long suffering sigh.
The dreams that surround most people's heads,
Leave her to be as alone as the dead.
Only the flower which rises from stone,
Keeps her from being completely alone.
