On the internet
I'd told you
I sang
all the time:
out of tune - songs
you don't like.

Asking me to stay the night,
you'd said we could each
have our own Walkman,
separated by sound:
still together.

But, when we met
I forgot
the music I had brought:

you played a movement
through my body
opening, closing like a scarlet sea anemone
in a rock pool on the beach.

And I, too
found
to my suprise
the places to press
and caress,
make music build in you
like a wave
coming to wash me
away
