My own prison

My own prison im locked away, shut behind bars, never to see the
light of day.
In my own cell I hear what they say, far beyond life, I scream the
night away.
My face emotionless, the demons gather round, they watch the blood drip
and dont make a sound.
Alone I stand staring myself in the eyes, they back away as the sun
creeps in, my daily dose of oxygen.
I sing softly to myself scaring myself to sleep, If im quiet enough
they wont hear me weep. My heart tells the tale and sings louder than
my voice, im too weak to argue, to weak to have a choice.
