Despair

Fighting Despair
Despair reaches her arms towards me
Clutching me in her cruel embrace
Dragging me deeper into darkness
Covering my eyes so I can't see

Destiny adds band of lead
Adding its weight to the force
Letting the darkness envelope
Me in dread

Struggling I fight for air
Pushing against the demons
Of my own creating
Pushing a path through this despair

In darkness there is always light
Its takes courage to seek it out
Look and you shall find
Truth is always right

When you feel there is no way out
Ask and a light will be turned on
Never is there a time when all is lost
Never have a doubt

Freedom choice will always be yours
That is what we have
Make a choice to seek truth and light
And never let death be an answer.

When opportunity shows a way
Reaching towards you
Opening doors you had never dreamed of
Take it by the hand and say

Now is my time.
I'm making my choice.
This is my life
And no one and no thing is going to take it away from me Ever.
