Deconstructing the comedian

I forgot the misery associated with life
In retrospect,
there was great irony
Why we had to endure the pain to begin
with
And the said optimist comes along
Points out the
contradictions in our viewpoint
And I'm back at
those familiar emotions
Laughter, with humor
symptomatically
It wasn't always this easy, a nation
depressed
Individuals who had lost everything
Some
thought life would never improve
Perhaps the jokes
are a reminder
What seemed to be the end to all
Was
the beginning to nowhere, meant nothing
Such art in times of
pain, when grief
Takes various forms, perspective
complex
It may not be as serious
tomorrow
If it all; today's emotion is what
makes
Tomorrows humor, viewed with the
same
Poignancy, we're all stressed, for everyone
To
say nothing, the comedians twisted
Interpretations
of events, convoluted
Use of intelligence to simplify
tragic
Whatever, because nothing really has
To be
anything, when the stress had
Caused us to magnify it where
it's everything
Vision is limited, I was able to see
Around life's obstacles, an optimist
Myself until
the next disappointment
Trust in the cathartic effects and
the
Release of the stress and the cares of
today
Something that we all have been
through
Somewhere we all pass through at one time
Are
we both on stage, competitive yet
As a team feeding off each
other's craft
Sharpening our skills for
tomorrow
Our way of coping with it for
today
As blue as the clouds in the sky
Out sadness,
what comes over us,
Such desperation, our humor as
metaphor
For the transition, we recognize the
stages
Was funny that we didn't at one time
though
