What an Ass

My neighbour has just put up a fence
Promised me in his defence
That he didn’t mind losing a couple of inches of his garden
So that a tree I’d grown didn’t have to be shaven
But then with a chainsaw he started hacking
Just a few bits off my tree I was lacking
Then he told me the new fence would go up on Friday
While I was at work so on its location I had no say in
Only to get home and find it concreted in
He’d nicked a couple of inches from where the fence had bin’
