The Last Lunch

The gravity of this lunch pulls on our salad forks. There's a weight in our conversation.

Nobody at the table is wrong, but neither of us are right.

There is an ending here. I can't assemble the words. It makes it worse.

The first two sentences are effective at expressing the tense atmosphere between the characters. A lot said with few words...would like to read more!
