Regal lions set in stone,
Fountains, pools, set the tone.
Long lengths of water,
A clear mirror,
Sunshine glitters in this quarter.

Rainbow roses edge the pools,
And playing jets, in arcs and spools,
Gush and shoot in every place,
This is a luxury,
A special space.

A shady spot, with trees o'erhung,
A song De Falla, we think, has sung,
At its centre another fountain,
In a green shade,
A sylvan lantern.

The buildings stately, are a focus,
Foliage and evergreens, and a quercus.
Water is so very central,
And calming too,
To all things mental.

It seems the bowers hung with roses,
And flowery beds full of posies,
Grow in abundance in this weather.
It is a fact this healthy greenery
Is perfect Spanish garden scenery.
