The Bridges in Paris

you were stellar,
a natural born actress,
your tresses
weaving into the lightly
and i thought
our kiss would be
an eternal embrace
when you blushed, revealed to me
your golden teeth:
it was when i was a child,
i ate too much chocolate.
you drank wine
wildly and spoke of
such exotic things,
of beautiful men
you threw out the window,
luckily, they landed on a bush
and i could not
but be in awe of
your glorious
champagne supernova of the sky:
oft, you drove me
into a realm that was beyond
magnificent,
every kiss as a bubble
dancing upon the airs:
when we kissed, it was ambrosia,
your lips
were gates of paradise,
we dined on each other's happiness,
we thought it could last forever...
there are moments in which
things become mysteriously apt,
our spirit revives in rain,
comes to loave upon
dreams, drift along, and in your eyes,
i saw such daring enterprize
as only lovers
speak of.
