Blood

Blood, I'm bleeding
i am a sore unheeled, wide open
i stain everyone i know
they are all walking with
red patches on the hands they gave to me
and i've left them bleeding like i bleed

Dad, i'm bleeding
someone has slashed me open
squeezed my dreams out of my brain
called me a whore and insane
and those who helped me by lending their hands
are left with my blood stains
bleeding, just like i bleed

Mother, i'm bleeding
a man has stabbed my heart
i looked up towards him tears and all
but he gave me no sympathy
just twisted it more
there were people around me
who gave me their hands
which got stained with my blood
and were left bleeding themselves

Sister i'm bleeding
someone stabbed me in the back
sadly i was looking, i heard my spine crack
she left me lying in a pool
of my own blood that she had shed
she tried to wash her stained conscience
but it ended up bleeding in her head

i'm bloodied and bleeding
walking down the street
cut open from head to toe
split in half, left without a soul
my heart's been taken away
it's not my fault
i know it's not my fault, and i still bleed

i'm soaked in my own blood
and the tears of those who have cried for me
the blood of those who tried to help
and were pricked by bitter thorns
i'm turning black
my blood has dried upon my face
it's formed a scab around my body
i'm bloodied but i'm safe.
