‘You’re a product of your environment!’ – something I’ll tell myself every day ‘till I drop dead. You see it’s not an insult; it’s the truth; it’s something that I’ve had to come to terms with rather than regret the course my life ran. Forever I will wonder as to whether or not the life was worth it: all the money, the hard liquor, the glamourous girls, the drugs, the violence and the betrayals. And to this day, in all honesty, I still can’t make my fucking mind up.                                            

All I am now is a retired investor scraping it on a state pension. A state which I dedicated the whole of my work life attempting to defrock. To the underworld I am a legend - to the rest of the world - I am a has-been. To you, I’m the man, I’m Johnny --.

I didn’t ever expect to tell this story, ever, but with age I feel like the truth should be known and those whose loved ones have been lost, as a result of my actions or the Firm’s, should be able to point the finger at the true criminal of this story.
