DISTANCING DISTANCING
How rum I feel
This night that I
Departed from my lady's side
And she from mine
And thee from thine
Thus in my unmade bed confide
How deviant
These cares of mine
That stray abroad upon some tide
Of restlessness.
And serpentine
Is every thought that aches to guide
Them back again.
And of mistakes
Does every stripped desire compose
Each certainty
Who coos and crows
How undesired
This trauma who
Unthreads me from contentment's weave
And bricks me in
My littered room
And would not have me leave
