Attic Boy
(Inspired by poems created by Tim Burton)
I knew a kid
Renowned for his fame
Of living in the attic
Attic boy was his name
He lived amongst the cobwebs
The mould and the mess
How he got there?
I'm not quite sure, I confess
But people have told me
This is true, they have sworn
That the story of Attic Boy
Was sad and forlorn
Attic Boy was born
To a couple of snobs
They were posh and pristine
With highly-paid jobs
But Attic Boy was nothing
Like his father and mother
Attic Boy was different
Unique; like no other
Attic Boy was filthy
Attic Boy was rude
He never said "Please"
And he never chewed his food
His mother and father
Were going insane
"What would the neighbours think?"
They thought again and again
So they conjured a plan
They conjured it quick
They locked Attic Boy
Inside the attic
So there he has stayed
For twelve long years
Away from his parents
And fellow peers
He sits in the attic
Facing the wall
Hoping and praying
That his parents will call
So the moral of the tale;
Do not annoy
Your parents or you may end up
Like poor Attic Boy
