Knowing you

its like one of those love songs, you know
the soundtracks to romantic and tragic films.
You laugh at the lyrics
and the notions make you sick..
and all the songs sound the same and its all been done before hasn't
it?
But once in a while... a very long while,
you hear that love song that does touch you.
The song that doesn't sound tacky and fake
and isn't a cheap version of a tasteless song
that you've heard once too many times.
This song is a breath of fresh air in a stale fog.
This song is the first ray of light on a brand new day
This song is the moment you sit down after a hard years work and just
relax.
You remind me of that one special type of song.
That one love song that means something and stands out as honest and
real.
That song is how I think of you and my feelings for you.
It hurts and I have no idea why!
It takes a very special person to have that effect on me. You are
different, like that song I hear when I see you.
And do you know what hurts the most?
You are with somebody else..
just like in all the other songs.
