Showing brown bone
The once active had now stopped being
The once breathing had now stopped seeing
The once living body was now still and cold
And placed in a tomb of darkness and barriers
Young and fresh it had been and happy that day
And unexpectedly taken in one swift way
Now, covered up with Earth from which it had walked
Away from fresh cold air that once was sampled and explored the
lungs
The heart that had pumped blood that was a flowing stream
Was now abandoned and derelict and the red frozen where it
stopped.
From a mother and fathers union
Into the womb it grew and into the World new skin cuts and
regrows
When sickness prevailed and struck its host with fever the body had
recovered
And so the cycle had continued like the days turn to months and months
to years
One particular year the cycle had stopped dead
The moving, laughing, talking, drinking body was torn
Torn until it could never recover
And so it never regrows and instead rots into the Earth like a dead
weed
Laid under the growing grass and the moving air and the singing
birds
Time had stopped still on one day out of forever
Time did not exist any more for one more person
Handing the clock to another unsuspecting being from the womb
Other born on her day will beat and breathe longer than her
And she is encased in paralysis that she can't see
And she is encased in dirt that she can't clean
And the air is trapped in the disintegrating flesh that drops like grey
stone
The flesh that was once beautiful and admired and sprayed with
perfumes
Now lies still and cold and disappearing to reveal brown bone
All because of one accident in which its owner could no longer
exist
And the life was snatched before her eyes
On a random and uncalculated day out of forever
The same fate awaits every being
One day time will stop for us and we will disappear
We may know the day when it happens
We may not even know it happens
On the day we start to reveal brown bone
