X) Catching

Cupped in my hand, a ball
the right round size and weight
for throwing.
I spread my palm and
launch and
catch,
and launch and
catch,
a pattern formed.
Watch it spin in air and light,
sail so far and
hold a moment,
soar and arc and fall
and land back
with a warm sound
in my hand.
Next time I could let it drop.
This time I could drop it but
it fits quite comfy here.
It feels
quite right.
