Don Juan
By Jean Calvin
- 492 reads
Women after women,
Plundering in the name of love and lust.
He found you,
And he didn’t know if it was love or lust.
But yet he pursued
And you were deflowered
By the hand of Don Juan.
Your father came after
In pursuit of revenge.
A noble man he was before,
He challenged me to a duel,
The fool he became.
A sword through his heart
By the hand of Don Juan.
Years upon,
A statue of the pierced man lay barren.
Invited to feast in a lavish extravagance
Of which the statue could not refuse.
Receiving a formal invitation
By the hand of Don Juan.
Ghosts and ghouls
Circle around as the statue and man dine
Haunting the whole.
As the chicken bones and fruit are eaten
By the hand of Don Juan.
A formal handshake is always in good order
As he reached out his hand to the statue.
Dragged to the pits of hell
By the hand of Don Juan.
