Why Bother

Still trying to teach my dog new tricks
But all I get is bloomin licks
She'll gladly run to retrieve the ball
Won't give it back, no not at all
She thinks you threw ,I caught, that's fine
So don't get clever, push off it's mine
I'm half determined to give up
It's really best to train a pup
But what the heck, if I am beat
She's a nice warm cushion for my cold feet.
