GOODBYE FROM THE WIFE
Dear oh dear what can I do
I've sat all day and now I'm full
Of thoughts and dreams because I'm sitting
Wishing I wasn't drinking but just knitting
A lonely housewife that's what I be
My mans working I hope you see
He doesn't understand my life
I'm living alone (cause) I'm just his wife
In he comes looking for his dinner
Head erect so "smug" he believes that he's the winner
But poor old me I know that I am fooling
Sick to my teeth with all his drooling
I put it down his food his wishes
Does he forget who does the dishes?
His feet always up on the coffee table
Poor old man so tired but so unstable
"BUT WAIT" I've had an inspiration
I'm packing my bags heading off to the station
A train awaits my fortune beckons
I bet he doesn't even reckon
That off I go with "My "own best wishes
Leaving him with the kids and the dirty dishes
The car no longer do we own
The H.P. and the rents not paid nor is the phone
So he'll spend his life poor soul sitting with his feet up on his
coffee table
No longer working because he's lost his mind and became unstable
