THOUGHTS FROM ACROSS THE BAY

A cool breath of sea air drifted slowly towards me
As I sat looking out across the bay
The silence only broken by waves slowly lapping up against the
shore
Thoughts of mixed emotions flickering through my mind
As I thought back to better times in my life's travels

Trying to take stock of how every thing had turned out
A moment of such sadness flashed into my head
How memories pass through this life's fleeting moments
So many years which had not been kind

Strive on to better things they say
Never give up the challenge through journeys end
As it will take you to have courage
But given the beauty that this earth has to offer you
The love that this world will give to you and yours
Be strong be brave and you will always come through

Look upon this journey through this world
As a learning a teaching a loving a giving
To leave behind for your children to inherit
Cherished memories which will remain with them
Till the ends of time
